Which is why we practice sustainable solutions in order to limit food and material waste.

We Take the Initiative

To do what we can to contribute to the community, but also to the world we live in. We want to use every item we receive to it’s maximum potential. We are proud to use sustainable methods that help leave the world a better place for generations to come.

We Recycle

Plastic, metal, steel, and any carboard that is no longer usable gets taken to a local recycling center.

We Minimize Waste

Any food that is no longer suitable for us to distribute, is given to local pig farmers and the Tri-State Zoo, where it can be repurposed as animal feed.

Food Collection

We collect donated fresh produce from local grocery stores and gas stations that would otherwise throw it out.

We Involve the Community

Students from FSU collect fresh produce from campus that would otherwise have been thrown out over the weekend.

Agencies Contribute

Any fresh produce that would expire over the weekend is collected from us by our member agencies. These agencies then redistribute the produce from their pantries.
