Terms and Conditions

Effective date: August 28, 2026

These terms apply to www.wmdfoodbank.org (the “website”). Western Maryland Food Bank, Inc. (“WMFB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website.

By using the website, you agree to these terms. Do not use the website if you do not agree.

Purpose of the website

The website gives information about WMFB, food assistance, member agencies, programs, volunteering, events, and donations.

We try to keep the information accurate. Program rules, locations, hours, food supplies, staff, and events can change.

Contact WMFB or the applicable agency to make sure that information is current.

We keep marked archive material for historical reference. Archive material can contain old dates, programs, offers, and instructions.

Archive material does not describe a current service unless the page clearly says that it does.

No emergency service or guarantee

Do not use the website or a contact form for an emergency. Call 911 or the applicable emergency service.

Website information is general information. It is not medical, nutritional, legal, tax, or financial advice.

Website use does not guarantee food, money, program eligibility, agency membership, a volunteer position, or another service.

Services depend on current supplies, program requirements, and partner rules.

Donations and PayPal

PayPal processes online donations. The terms, privacy statement, eligibility rules, and payment rules from PayPal apply.

WMFB does not control the PayPal website or payment system.

Examine the donation amount and payment details before you approve a payment.

A donation is voluntary. It does not give you an ownership interest in WMFB or a right to services.

WMFB can use a donation to support any part of our charitable mission. This rule applies unless WMFB accepts a restriction in writing.

Contact WMFB and PayPal promptly about an unauthorized, duplicate, or incorrect donation.

WMFB will examine refund requests under the applicable law, accounting duties, facts, and PayPal rules.

A refund is not approved until WMFB or PayPal confirms it.

PayPal will show the amount and frequency before you approve a recurring donation.

Use your PayPal account or contact WMFB to cancel a future recurring payment.

Keep your PayPal receipt and any WMFB acknowledgment. Tax rules for a donation depend on the law and your circumstances.

WMFB does not give tax advice. Ask a qualified tax adviser if you need tax advice.

Read the PayPal user agreement and privacy statement.
